Strategies for Rush poker
There's a new and exciting poker format which has literally turned the online poker world upside down - Rush Poker!
Rush poker is a creation of Full Tilt poker and is designed from the ground up to make online poker more fun, with less waiting, and more action, and it certainly meets those criteria.
The game is currently Texas Holdem and Omaha and currently only small stakes, although more formats are due to be added shortly. You can chose to play 6 or 9 handed, and the game is made so fast and exciting because once you fold you're taken to a new table. No more folding preflop and having to wait while the others play the hand, just hit fold and move on. There's even a quick fold button so you can fold before the action reaches you, meaning it's possible to play over 500 hands per hour!
In terms of strategy, playing rush poker is very different from your average ring game. First of all, you get virtually no chance to read your opponents preflop so your decision making is based more on your hole cards. Secondly, players will much low ranking hands quickly so you'll know that post flop most players will have high hole cards (or maybe a low pair, suited connectors or Ax) which means if you have something like 77 in the hole and hit trips on the flop, you'll probably get paid off big time! Just be careful not to let the big blind see the flop for free, so raise rather than limp in.
You'll also find that since players are so fold-happy you can win lots of hands simply by raising and reraising. Your opponents are more likely to fold a marginal hand than usual, because they know it won't be long before they have a better hand. Take advantage of that, and keep the pressure on!
Rush poker is not only great fun, but can be really profitable too. You'll refine yorru strategy over time, but these tactics outlined here should give you a great start. And the best thing about playing rush is, when you're playing 300 or more hands per hour you'll be learning and building up that experience fast!

Take notes!
Many people might think that note taking in a game where you're constantly moving tables is futile, but in fact it can be a great help. Players give off a lot of tells in Rush Poker, especially whether they are using the auto-fold feature which is easy to spot since they appear to fold instantly when the action reaches them. If you put a note on them, if they are seated behind you later in the game you know that a small raise will likely make them fold anything but a premium hand.
You can slo be on the lookout for players who often put in a good sized bet from late position, they are quite likely trying to steal the blinds and if they do it often you may be able to go over the top of them and force them to fold.
Remember as well - while you can take notes on other players, they can also take notes on you! So remember to vary your plays and don't make it easy for others to read you.

Rush poker still works the same way as conventional holdem but simply takes away waiting for hands.
